Fast fashion isn’t cheap,
turns out it costs the earth

Here at We Are Kaii, we want to be part of the
change, and have you join us in our movement to make sustainability sexy.

93% of brands surveyed by the Fashion Checker
aren’t paying garment workers a living wage”

This is unacceptable. At We Are Kaii, our manufacture is based in Bali with an open door policy so we can go see their beautiful faces when we please. It far exceeds minimum labour standards and all staff are paid above award wages and up to three times the standard. Everyone is provided with comprehensive health insurance for themselves and their families. They are proud of their factory, and we are proud to be closely working alongside them.

More than $500 billion of value is lost every
year due to clothing underutilization and the lack of recycling”

We can’t undo what has been done, but we can make
the best of it, the very best at that.

Here are We Are Kaii, we use only premium Econyl to create our swimwear. To put it simply, Econyl is made entirely from waste collected from our oceans including fishing nets, plastic bottles, carpet flooring etc. Not only does all this waste poison the planet, it also can be fatal for sea life. Fashion accounts for 20 to 35 percent of microplastic flows into the ocean. To create our Econyl, that dangerous waste gets carefully fished out, melted down, transformed into flakes and chips which turns into the gorgeous material used to create your pieces.

The quality is undeniably strong, providing excellent coverage. It’s ultrachlorine resistant, sun cream and oil resistant & pilling resistant.

One in three young women, the biggest segment of consumers, consider garments worn once or twice to be old"

This is where we need your help.

We know there is inexpensive swimwear on the market, we also know someone, somewhere is paying
for it. We have made a pact to provide you with the very best quality sustainable swimwear, which in turn is fuelling a movement to save our planet. We ask you to question who made your clothes and value your purchase as an investment piece, as it was made for. We know you’ll love your swimwear, so wear it with pride again and again and again. Good on you!
